My Day Job – Creating Something Everyday

I enjoy crafting and thrifting but I also have a "Day Job" that allows me to create something everyday. Today I happened to walk by a wall with several of my packaging designs displayed. I tend to forget the massive amount of design work that I produce every six months so this was fun to see.

My favorite project is working with Tim Holtz on the Sizzix Alterations catalog. Tim is such a creative visionary that it is always exciting to work with him.
I also create all of his Alterations die packaging. Tons of distressed tan packaging everywhere.
Then I switched from distressed tan to delicate pinks and cream packaging. Earlier this year I had the honor to work with Brenda Walton on her first die launch with Sizzix. She is such a sweet person and talented designer which is evident in all of her designs.
This was my first time working with Jo Packam to design packaging for her new line of dies for Where Women Cook. She wanted her packaging to be a "riot of color" and here it is. This is so different than the grunge tans and delicate pinks and creams.
I also work with Stephanie Barnard for her dies and packaging. Stephanie is so fun and talented just check out her blog to see what she creates with her stamps and dies.
I also designed packaging for an entirely new line of quilting dies. This line of packaging was designed and created in a matter of weeks but I really enjoy a challenge.
The other major project I had designed over the past few years were all of the packaging and booklets for Tim Holtz's Stamp2Cut eclips cartridges. Usually I create about three of these cartridge sets in a six month period but this just looks so good as a complete set.
Good grief! I didn't realize how much I create in a six month time period. I am already several months into preparation for the next CHA show in January 2014. Like I said, I love a good challenge!
